To start this blog off, I should probably tell you a little about myself!
I'm 26-years-old recently. I keep dreading thirty not because of the feeling of being "old", but the fact that I always thought I'd have done more by now!! Don't get me wrong! I've lived in four states, been to Africa, and have met some truly amazing people! Just want to do so much more!
I live with my boyfriend Erik, who is my very own Paul Bunyan!! For those who know me, that is my ideal man! Tall, strong, hard working, hilarious, and most of all, loving!
We live with our four obnoxious but lovable pets: Dale (14 year old tabby who's been with Erik since childhood), Boscoe (4 year old German Shepard/Akita mix - rescue dog and my baby boy), Lula (3 year old Pomeranian - rescue dog and my body guard), and the newest member of the family, Herschel (10 month old tabby - rescue kitty, most rambunctious thing you'll ever meet, and yes... we named him after the Walking Dead character... don't judge me).
We live in our cozy home on 20 acres of forest in the middle of Northwest Wisconsin. We shoot guns, we go four wheeling, we work hard, and most of all, we like to have fun! But don't think we can't be classy!!
Although my nickname at work is "Nanuk of the North" (I'll tell you all about it later), I love fashion, fine dining, and culture.
Speaking of work! I sell high end furniture for an amazing family, and I get to work with some pretty great clients! I love my coworkers, and who knew couches could be so interesting?
As far as family goes, I've been more than blessed! They deserve a post all about them!
Getting back to the title "go figure", you'll soon learn that I'm absolutely obsessed with The Pioneer Woman, aka, Ree Drummond. I am constantly on her blog thinking about the next thing I'll make.
I say go figure because tonight Erik is out with his dad, so that means quality PW time. Tonight I made a skillet lasagna, and I'm catching up on episodes I've missed on Food Network. Honestly... if you've never heard of the lady, look her up! She's changed my life!
